We are looking for an experienced personal trainer who is passionate about motivating others through fitness! You are passionate about health and fitness and love to empower others to achieve their goals. You are self-motivated, proactive, a natural teacher, and actively look to help people while focusing on building your business. 

You're responsible for providing a safe and effective exercise environment through supervision of exercise programs, health & fitness education, and a focus on establishing personalized training experiences. You are eager to promote the facility and the club, while providing the Three Steps of Service to all members & guests. This position reports directly to the Fitness Director or Operations GM.  

Responsibilities: 
  • To provide supervision of the exercise and fitness areas of the club, including assisting in the delivery of exercise and training programs 
  • To evaluate member/guest health & fitness needs while providing the appropriate training program recommendation for meeting those needs, including but not limited to personal training, small group training, golf and/or tennis performance. 
  • Conduct new member FitStart appointments in accordance with club standards and track 
    accordingly. 
  • Responsible for daily processing of all accounting procedures around personal training and or group session(s) accurately.
  • Responsible for submitting monthly forecasts for expected sessions, engagements, FitStarts and new client goals.
  • Strive to set a great first impression everyday with approved uniform and name tag 
  • Demonstrate your passion and commitment to fitness through consistent practice of your own training programs
  • Maintain current certifications including CPR/AED and actively seek new education opportunities that are presented through ClubCorp partnerships
  • Maintain a schedule of availability that is current and updated as needed to ensure accuracy specific to personal goals and career growth
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations 
  • Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service 
    recover, any complaints as soon as possible.
Qualifications: 
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:  Certification in CPR/AED.  Certification from national organization such as NASM, ACE, ACSM, W.I.T.S, CSCS, TPI, MAT, NSCA,  (required)
  • SPECIALIZATIONS DESIRED FOR SUCCESS: TPI Level 1, Gray Institute: Functional Golf System, Technogym Golf Performance, Technogym Tennis Performance
  • EDUCATION:  High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. College Degree in health, fitness, or recreation related field preferred.
  • PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:  Minimum of 10 hours of fee-based work per week 
  • WORK EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience. Minimum of one year’s experience in the fitness or exercise industry required.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:  Indoor and outdoor work
  • Within one year of employment ClubCorp STAR certified.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications (required)
  • Able to perform exercises and movements as demonstrations to clients
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
Other Responsibilities: 
  • Promote the facility amenities, programs and the Club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service that aligns with the values, philosophies, and standards of the club.  
  • Connect fellow members to one another through ongoing promotion of club activities, including warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells by connecting with each Member in the facility.
  • Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet 
    Club standards as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (i.e. orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.).
  • Assist fellow employee partners, members, and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of 
    service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment while always participating as a member of the team.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
